Aunt Cynthia

Today was my Aunt Cynthia's memorial service. She passed away last week; cancer had run it's nasty course. Tim and I did not make it to North Carolina in time to say goodbye but I think maybe it was better that way. The last time I saw her was last Thanksgiving. She was strong and seemed happy. Mom took me to the hospice facility where she spent her last few days. It seems to be a lovely facility with a nice garden and amazing staff. I did not get a chance to say goodbye or attend the memorial service but I did at least get a chance to spend some time with family. I had a chance to listen to stories, laugh and cry with Mom and the rest of the family.
