Tim was a good sport and worked with me all weekend to (re)paint the downstairs portion of our house. It only took a couple of months,a heated discussion, and 23 paint samples to decide on a color scheme. We are not even going to talk about the number of trips to the store before actually buying the paint. The lesson I took away from all of this was the importance of compromise in marriage. The painting took about four days and we finished three spaces: dining room, stairs/hallway, living room. After all the paint samples and drama we just flipped the colors in the rooms. The dining room was yellow and is now a fun green. The living room was green and is now a cheery, soft yellow. We still need to paint the trim and do some touch ups but it will still be here the next holiday weekend. I think it turned out well. (If you do not agree please do not tell me. We have had enough painting for a while.) Our house is feeling more like home everyday.Front entry hall/ stairwell

My friend Jenny told me about this blog called Young House Love. It's full of ideas, great photos, and the couple who write it even have a chihuahua named Burger. How fun!
