Lily was not in the mood to take pictures. The shots below are actually the best from two different days. You win some and you loose some I guess. She is growing up too quickly for me already. Tim has been out of town for a few days at a conference and we both have missed him. Tim usually calls in the evening when he is on his way home from work. Yesterday he called around 5:30pm to say hi per our normal routine. Shortly after hanging up the phone a car drove by the house. Lily heard the car outside (the windows were open) stopped what she was doing, turned toward the door, and got really excited with a huge smile on her face. She was expecting her Dad to come walking in after a long day away at work. It was really sweet but broke my heart at the same time to tell her Daddy wouldn't be back for a few more days. I am thankful that Tim has a job that does not require a lot of travel away from home.
She also had some allergy testing done this week. It was not a fun experience for anyone but necessary for my peace of mind before introducing her to a bunch of new foods. According to the test results she is NOT allergic to anything. It seems she just has a very immature gut and a whole heaping helping of food intolerances for the moment. She still could have a dairy allergy but everything looks good so far. I will not be testing that particular food group with her for a while. The good news is she will most likely out grow these and hopefully be able to eat whatever she wants by the time she is school age. For now we just have to be careful and wait and see. It seems there is a light at the end of the tunnel after all.
