Last week, my vintage base ball team won our first game in the leagues playoffs. Today was the championship game -- my team the Nutmegs BBC vs Billy Barnie's Blue Boys. It was a tough game. We took an early lead, but the Blue Boys came back to take the lead. By the ninth inning we were down a run. We scored 2. But in the bottom of the ninth, the Blue Boys scored 1 run which forced extra innings. In the tenth inning we scored 1 run, but gave up 1 run in the bottom of the inning. Then in the eleventh inning, we scored 2 runs and didn't give up any.
So we are the world champions of 1860's base ball in the Hartford area. Or something like that.
