Baby name brackets

Tim and I were putting off baby name selection until after we learned the gender. We were hoping to only have to choose one name instead of a boy AND girl name. Unfortunately, the ultrasound last week has forced our hand. While browsing through baby name books can be fun the process of making final name selections that we both like has proven to be a little tedious. We needed a way to make this process interesting... thus was born the Sallay baby name tournament. This tournament idea was not my own; I came across it while scanning my favorite baby name book The Baby Name Wizard by Laura Wattenberg. In the brackets above are listed the our top 32 name picks. I will tell you that we do have a few favorites but final selections have not necessarily been made yet. Upsets are possible. We will revisit these brackets once a month and narrow down the possibilities until we have a winner in January. Please feel free to place your bets on your favorites and leave any comments you would like concerning the names listed.
