Wadsworth Falls

Tim and I decided to make the most of the nice weather this afternoon and check out one of the Connecticut State Parks known as Wadsworth Falls. We took the dogs with us and enjoyed a nice hike to the smaller falls. Butter and Brownie were having a grand time exploring, sniffing, and marking new territory until we got the water's edge. Just in case you were not aware, chihuahuas do not seem to be fans of getting wet for any reason. These dogs do not enjoy baths, avoid puddles on the sidewalk, and must be persuaded to go outside to do their business if it is raining at all. Tim took this short video at the larger falls. I was attempting to persuade the dogs to get their feet a little wet. Obviously Butter and Brownie did not think this was such a great idea.

We had a great afternoon and decided that it would be worth a return trip sometime in the future for a picnic by the Falls. As an added bonus we stopped at a Five Guys Burger place on the way home and ate dinner. If you have not had one of these burgers you are missing out. The dogs were content with a few french fries tossed into the back seat for them to munch on while we ate. All in all it was an A+ afternoon.
