Late night chats

Last night Tim and I were going through our late night chat session before going to sleep for the evening. I was in the middle of some very important topic or other and Tim suddenly reached for his iPhone and pulled up the calculator function. Apparently he had an overwhelming urge to compute the answer to 0.75 to the 12th power. I asked him if this was the kind of thing he always contemplated while I was talking to him. His was response was "Don't you think about things like 0.75 to the 12th power all the time?" Talk about a Mars and Venus moment. I know my husband is a bit of a math nut but this seems to cross some invisible line. I wonder if there are support groups for couples like us....
