I had an ultrasound this morning (12 weeks) at the doctor's office and got to hear the heartbeat for the first time. It is kind of hard to believe there is actually a little person in there! I am still not sure that I believe it. I thought I would post the ultrasound image above because it made me laugh. The baby was sleeping in the same position that my younger sisters and brother used assume while they slept when they were little tikes: knees bent and hand on forehead expressing the slightest bit of drama. The only picture I could find among my family photos illustrating this "pose" is the one of my brother Christopher below from his cute and innocent days (I feel safe posting this photo without his permission because I am sure he never looks at this blog). This kid will carry the Sallay name but it seems it will be all Rhodes attitude. Heaven help us all.
