Yesterday was my 31st birthday. I do not feel like I am old enough to be 31 yet. It was a very pleasant day except for the fact that I was sick. However, being sick was the perfect excuse to hang out on the couch all day and watch movies! I loved all the gifts and well wishes from friends and family. My friends Kira and Leslie were kind enough to make me a chocolate cake in shape of a skein of yarn. there were even knitting needles made of frosting on the side. It was very tasty and a fun surprise. I did not dare poke holes all over the top with candles; I am not sure I am ready to face the flames created by 31 candles.
I have to admit that I have a very blessed life. I have a great husband, a sweet puppy, a supportive family, a house that feels like a home, good friends, good health (except for the occasional cold), the richness of gospel truths, the knowledge that Heavenly Father loves me enough to let me grow, and too many other blessings to list here. I guess what I am trying to say is that I am grateful for this life of mine. I think I am looking forward to 31 after all.
