I have come to appreciate sleepy Sundays. They always seem to end too soon. Summer is so nice with the warmer weather and longer days. The ice cream truck is even driving down the street right now!
Tim and I have been trying to be good dog owners and take Butter on a walk every morning and every evening. Actually I usually do most of the walking during the week and Tim joins in the evening walks during the weekends. I have also been waging a battle on weeds in yard and at the community garden plot. The weeds are definitly winning but I have not given up hope yet. Between the walking and gardening I have been waking up a little sore some mornings.
We have church at 9am this year. That is very early to me. I did not want to get out of the bed this morning. This was offically our second week as Nursery helpers at church. We are having a good time. Tim has been working on his building block skills and I have been the unofficial line monitor at the little plastic slide (you don't want a pile up of 2-yr-olds. I am not sure but I think Tim's favorite part is probably snack time....Last week there was a full house with 13 1.5-3 yr olds in attendance. The majority of the group is made up of boys. Those trucks get a lot of attention during play time! This week was a bit quietier with only 7 kids in a attendance (4 girls/ 3 boys). Needless to say it is nice to give the kids back to thier parents at the end of the two hours and go home to our relatively silent house and dog.
I would write some more random thoughts but I am falling asleep at the keyboard...(yawn)
