Happy Easter everyone! I would like to say it was a nice and restful day with the family but that would not be entirely true. Tim did not feel very well today and I was the crazy person who decided that I could teach our primary class alone with a slightly cranky toddler at my feet. Add in the amount of candy consumed by those primary children before coming to church and you have a perfect storm. Oh well there is always next week right? It was a lovely day outside and I did manage to get a couple of pictures of Lily in her Easter dress.
Easter dinner was a bit late getting to the table but still tasty. We had ham, asparagus, and spinach mashed potatoes. Yum yum. We also had a cake. It was good but stuck in the pan and therefore not decorated or picture worthy. The Easter bunny also made a stop at our house for the first time ever. There were lots of fun things in her little basket (bubbles, little people, sidewalk chalk, and a quiet book for church) but Lily really liked the paper "grass" at the bottom the very best. All in all it was a good day and the weather was lovely. I know Easter is not about the dinner, baskets, or picture perfect family time but somehow I still got myself a little worked up. One day I will learn my lesson and relax. There is always next year.
