I suppose that many of you may be wondering how I was able to record a proposal video without Christy getting suspicious. I'll explain here:
I had been thinking for several weeks what was the best way to propose. I wanted to come up with something that was meaningful for both of us and if I could capture it on a camera that would be all the better. Both Christy and I are somewhat outdoorsy people, so I thought I taking her to a park would work. I picked the date that I wanted to propose several weeks beforehand (which will probably surprise Christy and her roommates) -- Saturday, March 15. I looked for an ideal park to do it at -- lots of trees and secluded enough to not make either of us uncomfortable as I proposed. As March 15 approached, she suggested that we go to Longwood Gardens that Saturday. I decided that this would be the ideal place because it was a meaningful place to both of us and she suggested it which means that it wouldn't make her suspicious.
The recording it part was a little easier. I had recently bought a new memory card for my camera so I was taking all sorts of pictures and recording videos. Little did she know that by taking all those pictures I was really trying to scope out a good place to set the camera down and record a video. I had recorded several other videos earlier. In fact, when I proposed I was actually making the second video in that place. I watched the first one a few minutes before to make sure that everything looked right.

Hey Timmy, So are you going to post the video of you doing "magic tricks" with my ring the morning before you proposed?
Oh, yes! Let's see that!
