Tim's advice to single guys -- common interests

I think it's important for people to have common interests when they are in a relationship. You can help point these out while dating. For example, if she says, "I really like Star Wars" and you feel the same way, you could say, "I really like Star Wars too." Then you could start chatting about Star Wars.

You should be careful about this in certain situations. I know this doesn't make any sense, but when a girl says, "I love you" you shouldn't respond, "I love me too." When she says "I love you", she's not trying to point out a common interest -- that you both love the same thing. No, she's stating how she feels about you and she would like to be reaffirmed that you feel the same way about her.

I can't wait to meet you, Tim. I can't wait to meet the guy that was lucky enough to have Christy pick him! Well, Christy, I am so happy for you and you look so happy it brings tears to my eyes!
